Tailgates and Road Trips, oh my!
The Inferno are currently ramping up for the first tailgate and road trips of the year!
For the home opener against Houston on Saturday March 27th, we will be hosting the (hopefully) now annual tradition of a 24 hour tailgate. Inferno members will begin arriving in PHP’s Gold parking lot to begin celebrating the season’s opening at 3pm on Friday 26th, and will be there right until we enter the stadium for the 3pm kickoff the next day. Remember, you don’t have to stay for the full 24 hours to join in – a few of us will be staggering over to the Comfort Suites on the other side of the parking lot, and others will be heading home and returning in the morning. If you do plan on staying overnight with the hardy few, don’t forget to bring your tent! We’re also planning the first road trips of the year. FCD’s final currently scheduled pre-season game on March 7th will see them take on Brimstone Cup rivals Chicago in Ridgeland, MS, and a few Inferno members are planning on making the ~6 hour drive. Once the season gets underway, FCD’s first away game will be in the brand new Red Bull Arena in New York on April 17th. So far 13 Inferno and Matador members have committed to making the trek to the Big Apple, for this game and also to see the Texas Rangers take on the New York Yankees.
