FC Dallas begins their run in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup in Pizza Hut Park on Tuesday, 1 July when USL-1 side Miami FC come to town for the 3rd round showdown. Kickoff is at 7:30pm.

The “United Front” will make its premiere, as Guardia Roja (the samba supporters at the top of section 129) and the Inferno will be together. For this game, both groups will be in section 131 section 130 near the northeast corner of PHP, instead of our normal spot in section 116.

The Blues (3W-6L-7T) are tied for 7th in the USL-1 Division (the second tier of American professional soccer, just below MLS), so they’ll come into the game as underdogs. But the Open Cup is known throughout its 95-year history for many upsets, so there is no way anyone can assume our Super Hoops are a cinch to advance to the 4th round.

Tailgating will be at the Gold Lot in the northwest corner of the stadium, adjacent to Dr. Pink field.
