FC Dallas continues in their quest for the 2008 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup in Pizza Hut Park on Tuesday, 8 July when USL-1 leaders Charleston Battery come to town for the quarterfinal showdown. Kickoff is at 7:30pm.

The “United Front”, consisting of Guardia Roja (the samba supporters at the top of section 129) and the Inferno will be located in section 131 near the northeast corner of PHP, instead of our normal spot in section 116.

The Battery (7W-3L-3T), winners of the USL-1 championship in 2003, are leading the USL-1 Division (the second tier of American professional soccer, just below MLS), reached the quarterfinals by defeating El Capitan losers Houston Dynamo in penalties, and took FC Dallas to extra time before succumbing 1-2 to the Super Hoops in last year’s Open Cup quarterfinals, so they’re a team that should not be taken lightly.

Tailgating will be at the Gold Lot in the northwest corner of the stadium, adjacent to Dr. Pink field.

Season ticket holders should receive tickets for this game in the mail. If you have not received your tickets by Monday, 7 July, call FC Dallas customer service at 214-705-6700 and they will leave your tickets at Will Call.
