Bobby Rhine Party - Sept 27th

I figured I'd start a new thread seeing as this is something we're most likely moving forward with.

I just sent Bevan an email asking her when would be the best time to have the party. For those of you who don't know, the Rhines are expecting their second child mid-December. I told her to give me a ballpark estimate between December and March.

Heidi has volunteered her house for the party... because she is awesome and amazing and all sorts of wonderful and we love her very, very much.   Thank you, Heidi!

Amy and I were thinking about gift ideas for Bobby, and came up with making him a scrapbook of his ten years with the team. I was thinking everyone could contribute pictures and old programs and what-not, and then on the back page of the book we could have a page that everyone signs. Didn't we make a highlight video for Oscar?

So yea... everything is in the early planning stages, but I figure its best to get this started now rather than later. I'll update this the more I hear from Bevan, and if anyone has any ideas, suggestions, etc. (constructive and respectful PLEASE... we're all adults), please add them.

When we threw Papi a party over at the Johnson's house, Chamo brought a DVD slideshow that he put together & had it playing on the wall via a projector going in the background.  It'd be really cool to have one of those for Bobby as well.

If we don't have enough Bobby material you can get with the FO to see what they can dig up.  Talk to Jeff Busch to get with the media guys.

I only have pictures from this year, but I'll go through them to see if we have any Bobby pictures.  I know we have pictures of him and Jake because we printed them out and gave them to him.

I have some good pics form the past 5 or 6 years for the scrapbook.  We could add some stories about Bobby in the scrapbook too. I am planning on making a quilt for Booby, Bevan is going to help me get some stuff for it.

It would... BUT Bevan is due December 12th (come ooooooon December 7th!)!

Her being pregnant is the only reason I did not suggest a December/January party. Plus, we need time to make the scrapbook and get the DVD highlights and other preparations done.

I'm still waiting to hear back from Bevan, but once I do, I'll probably get a bunch of prints made a start a folder for stuff for the scrapbook.

Just let me know which ones you want.  The photobucket website shrinks the originals down and I still have them in the original size on my computer.  I can either give you the original file or print them out.

Hey Gina!!  We are never ones to turn down a party!  You guys are too sweet to think of us.  A party sounds great and I would love to see the Carmichael’s house.  I’ve heard tons about it.  Would it be too big of a pain to wait until the baby gets here to pick a date?  My due date is Dec. 13th, but I don’t know if he is going to wait that long to come out and see us

The scrapbook idea is awesome.   I will start trying to get some pictures together for you guys!

I think this is totally fine because it gives us time to get the scrapbook together as well as other preparations.

Have we talked about food yet?  Greg's got a nice grill out on the deck. BBQ? Fajitas? Burgers?
